Some of them buy without a prescription, which in any case it is not advisable, but by law is forbidden to be sold without prescription. Others do not accept them even when they are discharged from their doctor. Yet, how to extract maximum benefit from antibiotics and to minimize damage from them.
1. Why medicine is “not working”
There are cases where antibiotics do not help healing. You should know that they are effective only in treating bacterial and fungal infections, ie against viral illnesses such as flu and cold, they are meaningless. The adoption of any antibiotic can cause resistance – living microbes in the body ceases to react to it and if need be necessary to appoint another. Many of today’s antibiotics act only on the agents of specific diseases. Their specificity is well known to physicians. Spontaneous antibiotic selection (even without instructions read) is useless, and may be dangerous to health. Only a doctor can assess the possible allergic reaction, interaction with other drugs and the possible aggravation of chronic diseases. “self-prescribing” of antibiotics may lead to asthma, hives or problems with kidneys and liver, as well as distortions in the balance of gut microflour.
