First the bad news: “You can not cure a cold.” – At least according to Professor David Blandino, dean of the medical faculty at the University of Pennsylvania (University of Pennsylvania). However, it can ease symptoms and reduce the number of days in which to feel real bad. And a few natural remedies to help you achieve it:
Zinc – this mineral that is contained in many cold anti – nutritional supplements or medicines available without a prescription, it really works because it creates a favorable environment for viruses and their reproduction. Despite many skeptical voices from academia, according to Professor Jack Guoltni from the University of Virginia and longtime investigator of the cold, has only 14 studies that attempt to scientifically explore the affect of zinc or colds. Moreover some of them speak negatively, but others are further evidence that this mineral really works.
Vitamin C – for decades, most people believe that once when the first symptoms of a cold take more vitamin C, it will help them cope with the disease still in its infancy. This view is partly due to the discoverer of Vitamin C, Linus Pauling, on the other – on several studies that show that this vitamin increases the body’s resistance to viruses, however, these attempts have been made only in animals.
