Vitamins and medicines sometimes are bad combination

Therefore each of the 13 essential vitamins should be taken daily at the recommended doses – through the consumption of various foods or as dietary supplements. Few know, however, that whatever the form of some vitamin intake may intervene in interactions with certain drugs and therefore increase or decrease their effect.
Vitamin C is not only necessary for the proper functioning of the immune system, but also involved in the production of collagen – a protein in the composition of the skin, connective tissue and bone. Moreover, has antioxidant properties and thus protects cells from harmful effects of free radicals. Taking Vitamin C at reasonable doses may reduce the risk of many diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke, cataracts and inflammation of the gallbladder. This vitamin may interfere with warfarin – a widely used anticoagulant and reduce its effectiveness. So experts advise people taking warfarin to limit the intake of vitamin C to a maximum of 1 gram per day.
