The published results of clinical studies show that eating three apples before a meal lowered the fat content in the blood of at least 20%. During the observations made by Japanese scientists, a group of people before food was given 600 mg apple polyphenol – a substance composing the fruit substance helping the breakdown of fat. Such amount polyphenol contained in an average of three apples. Nutrition made after analysis of blood showed that the level of fat in the blood of the volunteers was on average about 20% lower compared to those who before lunch were not given any supplements.
