Everyone has some “magical” tool, which most believe, and always apply when cold. For some this is vitamin C, for others – Echinacea or zinc, others do prefer chicken soup … Actually I think that whatever you choose, it really works?
We offer you a view of several experts:
First the bad news: “You can not cure a cold.” – At least according to Professor David Blandino, dean of the medical faculty at the University of Pennsylvania (University of Pennsylvania). However, it can ease symptoms and reduce the number of days in which to feel real bad. And a few natural remedies to help you achieve it:
Zinc – this mineral that is contained in many cold anti – nutritional supplements or medicines available without a prescription, it really works because it creates a favorable environment for viruses and their reproduction. Despite many skeptical voices from academia, according to Professor Jack Guoltni from the University of Virginia and longtime investigator of the cold, has only 14 studies that attempt to scientifically explore the affect of zinc or colds. Moreover some of them speak negatively, but others are further evidence that this mineral really works.
Vitamin C – for decades, most people believe that once when the first symptoms of a cold take more vitamin C, it will help them cope with the disease still in its infancy. This view is partly due to the discoverer of Vitamin C, Linus Pauling, on the other – on several studies that show that this vitamin increases the body’s resistance to viruses, however, these attempts have been made only in animals.

If you have a useful habit of running in the morning or afternoon ride, but you do not like low temperatures, however, do not let that stop you to enjoy your favorite occupation. Trying to help, we offer some tips on how to overcome the inconvenience and continue to train outdoors even in winter. Have you as an example for the whole summer – you have done outside regular classes. But now it is winter and it’s really cold. Ham you do not want to cold, both thought to be close for the winter makes you feel worse. If you find a little will to continue will be so good – the exercises will help strengthen your immune system will keep your good mood, reduce stress and help you sleep good. With proper clothing and plenty of attention, you can train safely and comfortably outside without fear of the cold:
• Dress in layers. They are the key to it to stay dry, warm and comfortable to you. According to the temperature you can add or download a garment. The main layer – the clothes, which are arrayed at the bottom – should be a fabric that absorbs moisture. Cotton clothes are a bad choice because it is rapidly saturated in moisture and create a cooling effect. The second layer should be free. Wool fabrics are suitable for keeping warm, not heavy and fast drying. If it is too cold, this may be the last. But if it is colder, and add a third, which is recommended and is resistant to moisture and wind.
