Vitamins

The vitamins perform vital functions, helping every day millions of chemical reactions in the body. Therefore each of the 13 essential vitamins should be taken daily at the recommended doses – through the consumption of various foods or as dietary supplements. Few know, however, that whatever the form of some vitamin intake may intervene in interactions with certain drugs and therefore increase or decrease their effect.
Vitamin C is not only necessary for the proper functioning of the immune system, but also involved in the production of collagen – a protein in the composition of the skin, connective tissue and bone. Moreover, has antioxidant properties and thus protects cells from harmful effects of free radicals. Taking Vitamin C at reasonable doses may reduce the risk of many diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke, cataracts and inflammation of the gallbladder. This vitamin may interfere with warfarin – a widely used anticoagulant and reduce its effectiveness. So experts advise people taking warfarin to limit the intake of vitamin C to a maximum of 1 gram per day.

Glycolic acid peels are used by spas, dermatologists and individuals to correct skin’s abnormalities. Glycolic acid peel works by exfoliating old skin cells. It clears clogged acne pores and helps reduce skin’s hyperpigmentation as it removes the top layer of the skin and allows the new skin layer to take its place. Glycolic acid has become an essential part of many skin care products.
Glycolic Acid
glycolic acid is one of the most common acids to treat skin abnormalities. It is part of the group called alpha hydroxy acids, or fruit acids. Glycolic acid is made from sugar cane. You can purchase this acid for home use in different concentrations. When you buy an over the counter product, it generally contains about 3 to 10% concentration of glycolic acid, however other advance peels contain up to 70% concentration of the acid. In spas, usually 20% concentration is used while doctors or dermatologists use higher concentration of this acid. The higher the concentration, the greater will be the side effects or risks of this acid.
How to Do a Glycolic Acid Peel
Before you start the actual treatment, you should better perform a spot or patch test. You have to follow closely the instructions that come with the product. Initially, you have to start with a short amount of time that can be increased later on as the skin gains tolerance to the acid.
First, you have to cleanse the face, hands and neck with a mild cleanser. Rinse the cleanser off with warm water, pat dry the skin. Once the area is clean, apply glycolic acid and leave the solution on the skin for the time recommended by the product. Once the time is over, rinse off the acid. Ensure to wash off the skin thoroughly to make sure the acid is removed completely, and then dry the skin.
glycolic acid peel is a good way to get rid of wrinkles, fine lines, sunspots, scars, etc. You have to follow the instructions carefully to achieve satisfactory results.

Meat

Sorry, but increasingly we are unable to generate the required amount for the body of vitamins and minerals only through food. We must therefore take additional vitamin and mineral complexes to choose depending on our age. For people aged 20 to 30 years are particularly important:
Vitamin A
It is necessary for growth, regeneration and health of skin, but also to a better understanding of vision in the dark. The recommended dose is 600 mg daily. Vitamin A exists in two forms – retinol, carotene and (the most common form is beta-carotene). The retinol contained mainly in animal products: milk, margarine, cheese, liver, some fish species. Carotene contained in the most carrots, tomatoes, vegetables with deep green color. Deficiency of vitamin A reduces the body’s resistibility to various infections and deterioration of vision, especially in the dark. Excessive use of this vitamin affects the work of the liver. In pregnant women it can cause improper formation of the fetus.
Folic Acid
It is necessary for the formation of healthy red blood cells. The recommended dose is 200 mg daily. Folic acid is contained in large amounts in the leaves of lettuce, the yeast in cereal products. Deficiency of folic acid may contribute to the occurrence of megaloblastic anemia. Pregnant women should take daily 400 mg for the proper functioning and development of the fetus.

Vitamins

In the 90 years of 20 century in the United States and many other countries saw a real boom in the use of vitamins and minerals. They were taken in doses that exceeded the recommended standard of 10 targets to 100 times. Thus, many people tried to get rid of colds, obesity, cardiovascular and skin diseases, periodontitis and even cancer. But gradually the research showed that excessive use of vitamins (hypervitaminosis) may be more dangerous to health from lack of vitamins. Jane Brody (medical expert) and Dr. Stampfer, a professor at Harvard Medical School published an article a year ago, explicitly stated that the recommendations of a high intake of vitamins is “null and void based on evidence.” The quantity of vitamins to take adults and children depend on many factors including age, gender, health status. We must not forget the fact that some trace elements are able to interact with each other, but this is not always beneficial to the organism. Vitamin C is considered a known antioxidant, which rescued the cells from damage, but in combination with iron, it becomes oxidant, ie in the unit opposite effect. All this, according to Brody, makes us “members and volunteers of poorly controlled experiment.
